A British Turntable revolving stage has provided the perfect platform on which to shoot a TV commercial for Ford in the Far East. The 5m diameter revolving stage is one of several units shipped to Lee Rong Film & TV Equipment Co in Taiwan for use on short term hire to their customers in the TV, film, video and exhibition industries.

The stage was supplied with an extension to allow the diameter to be increased to 6m and, for extra flexibility, with an oscillator motor. The TV production company shooting the Ford commercial chose to use the revolve as it would help them show the car from different vantage points; at the same time the movement would create interesting lighting effects as the studio lights reflected off the body of the car. Allen Lin of Lee Rong, explains, "The effect created by showing the car rotating was very striking, and the turntable enabled the director to capture the beauty of the new car from every angle. At Lee Rong we find it valuable to have several British Turntable revolves in stock, as we can then respond very quickly to customer demands when they have tight filming deadlines."
